They say emergency vehicles will be allowed to go through should the need arise. Tom Parris, the production company’s location manager said City businesses are not being asked to close in the area of filming but would see intermittent pedestrian traffic. “Our crew and extras parking and our catering will be outside of the area,” Parris said.”Our equipment truck parking will be on private property. “We are working with the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Health and have been granted exemptions to the current Government directives. We are following a strict internal COVID protocol that requires face masks for all (except for actors when on camera), weekly COVID testing and frequent hand sanitizing.” While acknowledging that his team members are guests in Barbados, the location manager asked for the cooperation and understanding of Barbadians as they undertake their filming. Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office responsible for Culture John King told Barbados TODAY this film project will boost the country’s image abroad and also provide work for some local creatives whose skills may be used to assist in the production of the television series. Noting that Barbados is a perfect location for film shoots, King noted it is not the first time international film teams have used the country for movie locations. (EJ)
