Large explosion at LaSoufriere causes dome collapse and pyroclastic flows

The National Emergency Management Organisation of St Vincent and the Grenadines (NEMO) reported a large explosion at LaSoufriere volcano this morning.
NEMO said in a Facebook post, ” The team has observed a large explosion at approximately 4:15 a.m. and pyroclastic density currents(flows) have been observed on the flanks of the volcano. We continue to monitor and update.”
NEMO also confirmed, “Dome collapse and pyroclastic flows along the valleys on the eastern and western coast at approximately 4:15 a.m.”
