One lane traffic flow on Barrow section of ABC Highway tomorrow

Motorists are asked to note that there will be road maintenance on going along the Barrow section of the ABC Highway in the area of Norman Niles roundabout going north west towards Clyde Walcott roundabout and onto Warrens, St. Michael.

This work is the cleaning up of the highway due to the severe ashfall experienced over the past few days which has made the carriageway quite muddy and dusty, and presents hazardous driving conditions.

Motorists can expect restrictions to one lane, there will be signage and road markings to inform drivers to reduce their speeds, drive in single file, no overtaking is allowed. Members of the police Traffic Department will be on site to assist with the regulation of traffic. All Motorists MUST comply with the directions of police in uniform.

Drivers can expect some backup of traffic and should avoid the area if possible. This clean up work is expected to go on from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day from Tuesday 13, April 2021 to Thursday 15, April 2021. (PR)
