BMS says ash plume likely to pass south of Barbados

The Barbados Meteorological Service has advised Barbadians that the La Soufrière Volcano in St. Vincent erupted around 6:30 a.m. this morning.
The BMS said, “Based on the current trajectory this plume is expected to pass to the south of the island. However, some impact is still likely over the island.”
