Chrissy D releases sizzling Final Stage

Chrissy D is not letting the cancellation of Crop Over 2020 hold her back. The songstress who has previously been a finalist in the Party Monarch competition, decided to release her song Final Stage despite the uncertainty around the Crop Over 2021 season.

Speaking to the media Christina Chrissy D Dottin said that she had decided to release the song this year as a pre-Crop Over track after consulting with her mentor Anderson Blood Armstrong at Red Head Productions.

“I had written and recorded the song last year to release for Crop Over 2020 and after it was cancelled Blood and I decided that it was best to release it this year as it is a song that Barbadians who are missing power soca songs can enjoy,” she said.

The song which speaks about persons being at the final stage of Grand Kadooment is on the Sugar Riddim and was written by Chrissy D. She said the inspiration for the song came from her envisioning the final steps of Grand Kadooment.

“The song pretty much talked about the last round. When I wrote the song, I envisioned that last stretch on [Mighty Grynner Highway]. The ending of an event just talks about the final stage, when you know this is your last chance to enjoy yourself before it ends,” she said.

Chrissy D’s song was launched on May 5th, 2021 and is available on all streaming platforms, namely Spotify, iTunes,
Amazon Music, Pandora, Tidal, YouTube,
and Selecta Charts.

She said she decided to release it on all platforms after a fan asked her why her music was not accessible on Spotify.

“I decided to release my music on all platforms because the track I released last year a song called Next Year had persons from Germany asking me why it was not on Spotify.

So this year I made sure that my track is on all streaming platforms. Because you never know who is listening,” she said.

Chrissy D who is the brand ambassador for Lux Carnival said that she was eagerly awaiting Crop Over 2022 but in the interim, she invites all power soca lovers to enjoy her new release Final Stage from the comfort of their homes. (WriteRight)
