Energy Ministry’s electric vehicle online survey

The Ministry of Energy, Small Business and Entrepreneurship is currently implementing an Electric Vehicle Study to inform Government’s policy, as it seeks to roll out its energy efficient transportation roadmap.

To this end, a strategy for deploying e-mobility across the public service will be developed.

An assessment of electric and fossil fuel vehicles to determine the most effective transport fleet necessary to meet public sector needs will be devised, taking into consideration future grid requirements, charging infrastructure and human resource capacities.

As part of this work, the consultant is tasked with conducting a Commuters’ Survey on the electric buses being operated by the Barbados Transport Board to access user satisfaction, knowledge, comfort and perceptions.

Members of the public are therefore encouraged to complete the online survey, as Government seeks to better serve their needs.

The survey may be filled out online on the Barbados Transport Board’s website , or the link may be found at by clicking here.

Interested persons may also access the form at the Ministry of Energy, Small Business and Entrepreneurship’s website, or on Instagram at transportboardbdsenergybarbados, and gisbarbados. Persons participating in the survey will get a chance to win special prizes.

Further information on the survey may be obtained by emailing Sherry Waithe, Project Officer, Project Execution Unit, the Ministry of Energy, Small Business and Entrepreneurship at swaithe@energy.gov.bb.

This body of work is being undertaken under the Public Sector Smart Energy Programme, which is funded by the Inter-American Development Bank and the European Union.
