Court Uncategorized Salesman on handling charges granted bail Barbados Today18/05/2021063 views A City salesman accused of handling stolen cattle was granted bail in a Bridgetown Magistrates’ Court today. It is alleged that on May 14, Yusuf Ismuail Koya, from King’s Street, received a sheep belonging to Molwyn Prince knowing or believing the animal to be stolen. It is further alleged that the 36-year-old, between May 10 and 14, dishonestly participated in the disposal for his benefit or assisted in the retention of five sheep belonging to Cordell Francis and knew or believed them to be stolen. The accused, who is represented by attorney-at-law Angela Mitchell-Gittens, pleaded not guilty to the charges before Magistrate Manila Renee today. There was no objection by prosecutor Station Sergeant Cameron Gibbons to bail and Koya was released after his surety secured the $1500 amount. The cases against the accused will come up again for hearing before the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on November 26.
