Update: Man dead, two hurt, in Waterford gun attack

A man has been shot dead and two people, including a teenager, were hurt in a gun attack by two assailants just before noon at Bellevue,  Waterford, St Michael, police said.

District “A” officers who were called to the scene discovered the body of an unresponsive adult male on the ground. The man was later pronounced dead by a  doctor.
According to police, the dead man was sitting outside his home in the company of a 13-year-old boy and a 25-year-old man when around 11.50 a.m.,  two men approached them and opened fire. As the trio scampered the man fell.  The gunmen caught up to him and several more shots were heard.
The 25-year-old was taken by car to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital while the teenager suffered slight injuries.
Police have not revealed the identities of the slain man or his injured companions.
