COVID-UPDATE: Over 50,000 people fully vaccinated, five new cases

Over 50,000 people have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
The National Vaccination Programme has reported that as of Thursday, May 20, 51,704 persons have received both doses of the vaccine. Overall, 76,282 individuals have been vaccinated during the first and second phases of the programme.
Additionally, the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified five new positive cases of COVID-19 – two females and three males – on Thursday, from among the 730 tests conducted.
Forty-nine people are currently in isolation.
Confirmed COVID-19 cases have reached 3,985 (1,929 females and 2,056 males) since March, 2020. The death toll from the virus is 47.
The public health laboratory has carried out 165,136 tests since February last year. (BGIS)
