COVID-19 UPDATE: Four new cases, 51 in isolation

Barbados recorded four new positive cases of COVID-19 – all males – from the 506 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Saturday, May 22.

There are now 51 persons in isolation.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 recorded from March 2020 have moved to 3,995 (1,931 females and 2,064 males). Forty-seven people have succumbed to the virus.

Since February last year, the public health laboratory has carried out 166,237 tests.

Public health officials have immunised 76,361 people under the National Vaccination Programme.  This figure includes 53,911 persons who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 during the second phase of the programme. (BGIS)
