Gun case to start in two months

An alleged gunman from St Michael will go on trial before judge and jury in the High Court on July 26.

Madam Justice Laurie-Ann Smith-Bovell set the trial date today in the matter against Lamar Antonio Stephen Jones.

The Wildey resident is accused of having a firearm and two rounds of ammunition. He is also charged with assault with intent to rob on November 6, 2019.

Jones has attorney-at-law Jamar Bourne conducting his defence before the No. 4 Supreme Court.

Crown Counsel Kevin Forde is prosecuting the case.
