COVID-19 UPDATE: Five new cases, 41 in isolation

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory recorded five new cases of COVID-19, two males and three females, on Saturday, May 29.  They were identified from the 513 tests conducted.

There are currently 41 people in isolation.

Barbados has recorded 4,017 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (1,942 females and 2,075 males) since the start of the pandemic.  Forty-seven people have succumbed to the virus.

A total of 170,146 tests have been carried out by the public health laboratory.

Under the National Vaccination Programme, 77,946 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19.  These include 60,443 persons – 24,847 males and 35,596 females – who have received both doses. (BGIS)
