COVID-19 Update: 6 new cases, 39 still in isolation

Six new positive cases of COVID-19, two males and four females, were identified on Tuesday, June 1, from among the 414 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

Thirty-nine people are currently in isolation.

There have been 4,023 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (1,946 females and 2,077 males) since the start of the pandemic in March, last year. The number of deaths from the virus is 47.

Since February 2020, the public health laboratory has carried out 171,254 tests.

The National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19 has seen 79,503 people vaccinated against the virus, with 60,816 of them having received both doses of the vaccine. (BGIS)
