NUPW talks: Controversial resolution dies

The controversial resolution to create the new post of Secretary General of the National Union of Public Workers “died” Thursday afternoon during an emotionally charged special conference.

The meeting held at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre came to an abrupt halt after the movers of the resolution did not rise to represent it and the rest of the members voted with their feet not to pursue the measure.

More details in Thursday’s epaper.
