COVID-19 UPDATE: One new case, 8 in isolation, over 90,000 vaccinated

The COVID-19 positivity rate continues to be stable, while vaccination numbers increase.

On Friday, June 18, only one case of COVID-19, a male, was diagnosed from the 558 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.  And, there were eight persons in isolation.

Meanwhile, 91,495 persons have received their first doses under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19.  The number of persons who have been given second doses, and are now fully vaccinated, is 65,348.

Barbados has recorded 4,041 confirmed cases of COVID-19 – 1,953 females and 2,088 males.  The virus has claimed 47 lives.

To date, the public health laboratory has carried out 179,492 tests. (BGIS)
