Update: Murder accused remanded

Keon Curwen Downe

Twenty-one-year-old Keon Curwen Downes of Rose Hill, St Peter has been remanded to HMP Dodds after appearing before Magistrate Wayne Clarke at the Holetown Magistrates’ Court this morning.

He is accused of the murder of ex-police constable  Grenville Cumberbatch on June 16, 2021.

Downes has been ordered to reappear in court on July 20.
