COVID-19 UPDATE: 11 new cases, 40 in isolation

Eleven new cases of COVID-19, four females and seven males, were identified from among the 679 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Wednesday, July 7.

There are 40 persons in isolation.

A total of 4,119 cases of the viral illness (1,992 females and 2,127 males) have been recorded since March last year.  Forty-seven persons have died from the virus.

The public health laboratory has carried out 191,428 tests since February 2020.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 95,836 first doses have been administered, while 71,918 persons have received their second dose and are fully vaccinated. (BGIS)
