SPORTS: Aussies defeat Windies in ODI opener

The West Indies went down in a 133-run loss to Australia by the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method in their One-Day International (ODI) cricket match at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados on Tuesday night.

The defeat means they trail 1-0 in the three-match series.

The Australians won the toss and elected to bat, ending on 252/9 after a revised innings of 49 overs.

The Windies, set a target of 257 from 49 overs, were however bowled out for 123 runs in 26 overs and two deliveries.
