The COVID-19 pandemic has tested the resilience of this Mia Mottley Government since last year. It has landed on top of the repair job that the government had started with the economy. Yet, I am hearing complaints about performance.

From my vantage point the government has been doing a very good job in trying to keep Barbados afloat where the tourism sector has taken a massive hit, while managing the pandemic and trying to maintain our social services at a high level.

I am not a political person but I and my wife and grown sons feel a lot more secure with this administration in charge at this time, than if the previous Stuart government was still in power.

I moved back to Barbados in 2012 and must say I prefer the leadership I see now than what I endured from 2012 to 2018. We will get through this with God’s grace and unity.
