BWA: Completion of work in St Lucy delayed

The Barbados Water Authority wishes to update residents of St Lucy that work is still ongoing today Saturday, September 4 to connect a new transmission main between Benthams and Trents and install a connection to a new storage tank in the parish.

The Authority’s crews started work on Friday, September 3 but encountered some unexpected technical difficulties late in the evening, which delayed completion of the job.

Personnel worked through the night and the connection is expected to be finished during the morning today Saturday.

Once complete, the water will be turned back on and is expected to gradually return to all affected areas.

Customers will be assisted by the Authority’s water tanker crews in the interim.

The BWA sincerely apologises for the inconvenience this delay in the completion of work being conducted in St Lucy has caused.
