COVID-19 Update: 78 new cases, 738 in isolation

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory has identified 78 new cases of COVID-19, comprising 36 males and 42 females. There were 1,328 tests conducted on Sunday, September 12.
Of these new cases, 22 persons are under the age of 18, and 56 are 18 years and older.
There are 738 people in isolation.
Since the start of the pandemic, the island has recorded 5,984 confirmed cases of viral illness (2,983 females and 3,001 males). There have been 52 deaths.
The public health lab has performed 284,619 tests.
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 120,863 first doses have been administered. A total of 96,392 persons (35.6 per cent of the population) have received their second doses and are fully vaccinated. (BGIS)
