Accused with no bailor, wants case to start

The Crown did not renew its opposition to bail for a 66-year-old man who has been on remand for the past five months.

However, Clive Connor Lynch, of Cane Garden, St Andrew will remain on remand at Dodds for a further 28 days after he informed Acting Magistrate Krystal Delaney that he had no one to sign bail on his behalf.

Lynch is accused of unlawfully and maliciously wounding Jean Agatha Forde with intent to maim, disfigure or disable her or to do some serious bodily harm by orchestrating a knife attack on her on April 9.

He is not required to plead to the charge in the magistrates’ court as it is indictable.

“My problem is I have no one to sign bail for me. Seeing that I have no one to sign bail, I feel my case should start,” Lynch said.

Constable Ralph Rollock gave an undertaking to look into the matter and said he was hoping to have some movement in the case by the next sitting.
