The Maynards Development, St Peter resident, who is in his 60s, at an earlier sitting of the of the Criminal Assizes pleaded guilty before Justice Randall Worrell to unlawfully causing serious bodily harm to Audrey Burgess with intent to do her serious bodily harm, or to maim, disfigure or disable her. The offence occurred on August 17, 2010. Burgess, who is represented by Queen’s Counsel Andrew Pilgrim, also admitted to unlawfully and maliciously inflicting serious bodily harm to Jamila and Janaye Burgess, his daughters, on the same date. The sentencing phase of the case continued Wednesday before Justice Randall Worrell at the virtual sitting of the No. 2 Supreme Court before it was adjourned.
