Court Gun and ammunition case of St John man entering final phases Barbados Today16/10/2021055 views The Crown will later this month outline the facts of a gun and ammunition trial of a St John man with submissions on sentencing to be made by attorneys on both sides. Justice Carlisle Greaves adjourned the trial on Friday after Michael Ken O’neal Lewis, of Clifton Hall pleaded guilty to possession of an illegal Glock pistol and five rounds of ammunition. The offences were committed on May 17, 2015 in St George. Lewis and his attorney Andrew Pilgrim QC have waived the right for the High Court through the Probation Department to conduct a social assessment of his life for a pre-sentencing report. The convicted man also told the court had no prior convictions on illegal firearms and ammunition and had spent some 18 or 19 months on remand in prison awaiting trial. His case, which is being prosecuted by Senior Crown Counsel Neville Watson, will continue during a virtual sitting of the No. 3 Supreme Court on October 22. Lewis remains on bail.
