Walcott to act as Minister of Health

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator Dr. Jerome Walcott, will act as Minister of Health and Wellness, from today, Sunday, November 14, while the substantive Minister, Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic, goes on leave for a few days.

Prime Minister Mia Mottley made the announcement as she addressed a live COVID-19 update press conference at Ilaro Court on Saturday.

She said the Ministry’s work would continue seamlessly in Minister Bostic’s absence, while emphasising the team effort needed to maintain the health and safety of the nation.

Mottley thanked the Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners and the Barbados Nurses Association for their efforts in the COVID-19 fight.
