Serial rapist awaits sentencing

BT Court

Convicted serial rapist Kinchar Lavone Mascoll will know his fate next Monday.

This was made clear by Justice Randall Worrell when Mascoll reappeared in the No. 2 Supreme Court on Monday.

Mascoll, alias Rhino or Monkey Man, of Drax Hall Jump, St George, is to be sentenced for raping a 15-year-old girl on December 1, 2015 and a 43-year-old woman just over two weeks later, on December 17.

Queen’s Counsel Michael Lashley, who is representing Mascoll in association with Sade Harris, was to make submissions to the court on Monday in relation to a victim impact statement.

However, Lashley said having spoken with his client, he would accept the information contained in that statement.

Justice Worrell then set December 13 as the date for Mascoll’s sentencing.

The case was prosecuted by Senior Crown Counsel Olivia Davis.
