Court ZR drivers charged with causing disturbance Barbados Today15/02/2022044 views Two ZR drivers are before the Magistrates’ Court on a joint charge of causing a public disturbance along Tudor Street but only one has admitted to the crime. Rowlan Antonio Lewis, 37, of Thompson Gap, Green Hill, St Michael, pleaded guilty to committing the act on February 12. However, Jemmal Mac Donald Barrow, 36, of Mount Brevitor, St Peter, said he was not guilty. However, Barrow admitted that without lawful authority or reasonable excuse he had an offensive weapon, namely a scissors, also on Tudor Street. No facts have been outlined in the matter which is being prosecuted by Station Sergeant Vernon Waithe. There were also no objections to bail from the officer. With a warning that they stay away from each other, Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes granted each accused bail in the sum of $2 500, which they secured with their respective sureties. The matter will continue before the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on Aprill 22. Barrow is represented by Queen’s Counsel Michael Lashley and Sade Harris. Lewis is unrepresented.
