Barbados’ first audio-visual equipment rental company with a fully online automated booking and confirmation process will be launching later this month [March]. Nu Visual Rentals’ mission is to help with the development of the audio-visual sectors in Barbados while leveraging
technology to become the one-stop shop for musicians, live-streamers, photographers, filmmakers/videographers, and event producers on the island for their equipment rental needs.

Founded by Ashley Hope, Managing Director of AccuSounds Inc.; and Damien Pinder, Director of Nu Visual Media Inc., the pair is committed to equipping persons with the tools they need to be more competitive locally, regionally, and internationally.

According to Hope, ”There is an overflow of amazing talent in Barbados, but to purchase the equipment is not cheap. This not only causes compromises on the quality of services offered but slows the development of industries that can continue to grow to become viable sources of income for Barbados. This is where we come in to provide the rental options, so the practitioners can focus on improving their talent and quality offerings instead of worrying about the cost of buying, logistics of shipping, and duties associated with the items.”

Pinder, a former president of the Barbados Film and Video Association for three consecutive terms added “We won’t just be servicing the professional, but we will have options for the everyday man and woman as well. While international productions come to Barbados intermittently, Barbadian creatives and technicians are here every single days. For this reason, development is at the core of what we do, and so the focus of our company is serving Barbadians first as we take great national pride in what we are doing by helping our own to grow
to become more competitive.”

Pinder continued, “We’re starting with a small inventory which will grow to meet the needs of our customers as they themselves grow to push the boundaries of what we have on offer. Ashley and I are not simply technicians and creatives who happen to rent out our equipment when not in use, but we have found this standalone rental company that has made significant investments to purchase equipment solely for rent while maintaining uninterrupted operations of our respective core businesses”
