Justice Carlisle Greaves gave the adjournment in the case against Rashad Kemar Husbands, of White Hall No. 1, St Michael on Tuesday. Standing in the dock of the No. 3 Supreme Court, Husbands pleaded guilty to possession of a 9 mm firearm and 24 rounds of ammunition, as well as possession and trafficking of cannabis on December 18, 2020. Sentencing submissions by the prosecution, represented by Principal Crown Counsel Krystal Delaney and Acting Senior Crown Counsel Rudolph Burnett, will be given in writing to the court by March 28. The convicted man’s defence attorney, Harry Husbands, will also file written submissions at that time. The young man’s time on remand and a record of his antecedents, if any, will also be made available to the court. He remains on remand at Dodds, pending sentencing.
