Rudy Grant to be Barbados’ new Consul General in Miami: PM

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association (BHTA) Rudy Grant will become Barbados’ new Consul General in Miami Prime Minister Mia Mottley announced Saturday.

Mottley explained that Grant was offered the position some time ago and had agreed, with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs having already scheduled a date of which he will begin in his new post.

“I’ve asked whether he would serve as our Consul General in Miami, he has agreed, he gave the appropriate notice to his employers, he agreed some time ago, and he will now take up the post at a date the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have agreed upon,” Mottley said.

Grant announced Thursday that he will be leaving his current position at the end of June. (SB)
