Hundreds attend KLOTH Lifestyle Pop Up Shop and Expo

Hundreds of people flocked to the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, Two Mile Hill, St Michael, on Saturday to attend the KLOTH Lifestyle Pop Up Shop and Expo in association with the National Cultural Foundation.

Founder and co-ordinator of the expo, Khadija Millar, told Barbados TODAY that the event is held in June and December every year to give local businesses exposure.

She said there were more than 100 vendors showcasing a wide variety of products and services.

“We have our cocktail bar upstairs, we have lots of giveaways, lots of prizes and lots of freebies today. There is baked goods, sweet treats, ice cream,sno-cone, everything is here today. We have vendors upstairs, downstairs and on the outside as well,” Millar said.

The small business owner said she conceptualised the pop up shop and expo to give entrepreneurs the opportunity to network with each other, showcase their offerings, and meet new customers.

“The admission is free to everyone. It is just on Saturday from 12 noon to 8 p.m. I encourage everybody to come down. We hope to see everyone back here in December,” she said. (AH)
