Covid-19 Local News News COVID-19 Update: 400 new cases Barbados Today19/07/20220255 views There were 400 new COVID-19 cases, 158 males and 242 females, recorded on Monday, July 18, from the 1,083 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. The new cases consisted of 68 persons under the age of 18, and 332 who were 18 years and older. The number of people in isolation facilities was 42, while 1,857 were in home isolation. An 89-year-old fully vaccinated man died from the virus on Monday. As at July 18, there were 480 COVID-19 related deaths. The public health laboratory has conducted 717,655 tests since February 2020, and recorded 88,154 COVID-19 cases (40,260 males and 47,894 females). Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 162,828 (71.3 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of fully vaccinated persons is 153,831 (56.8 per cent of the total population or 67.4 per cent of the eligible population).
