Man rescued after falling into well

Fire officials rescued a man on Wednesday night almost three hours after he fell into a well while trying to escape from two men.

According to police, they received a call around 6:26 p.m. from the victim who reported that he was trapped after falling into an open well at Edgerton Road, Christ Church, located in a bushy area near the Blackman and Gollop Primary School.

The man, whose name was not disclosed, told police he was running away from two men when he fell into the well.

Fire officers got him out around 9:15 p.m. and he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

Police are continuing investigations. (BT/BPS)
