COVID-19 Update: 153 new cases

There were 153 new COVID-19 cases, 67 males and 86 females, reported on Thursday, August 25, from the 612 tests carried out by laboratories across the island.
The cases comprised 18 persons under the age of 18, and 135 who were 18 years and older.
The number of people in isolation facilities was 88, while 2,070 were in home isolation.
As at August 25, there were 537 deaths as a result of COVID-19.
The laboratories conducted 752,466 tests since February 2020, and recorded 100,526 COVID-19 cases (45,438 males and 55,088 females).
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 163,165 (71.4 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of fully vaccinated persons is 154,354 (56.9 per cent of the total population or 67.6 per cent of the eligible population).
