Flash-flood watch in effect for central parishes across Barbados

A flash-flood watch is in effect for central parishes across the island.

The Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) said in an advisory that a tropical disturbance in the Central Atlantic has moved closer to the Eastern Caribbean resulting in a decrease in winds speeds across the island and this has allowed localized activity to develop.

As a result, central parishes are likely to experience heavy to violent showers during the afternoon.

The BMS said maximum rainfall accumulations of 25.0 to 50.0 mm are expected. (BMS)
