#BTSpeakingOut – What’s up with BSTU building?

I was in Belleville recently to undertake some business and accidently went into the wrong avenue. In an effort to turn and ask a question I ended up near the headquarters of the Barbados Secondary Teachers’ Union. I was surprised and disappointed.

This union which has been around for so many years and has at times been outspoken, and loud too, has clearly not been able to get its house in order. The building is not what I expected of a headquarters building. Indeed, many others would most likely agree with me.

I told a friend who was with me about my disappointment and he agreed, while pointing out that the credit union once associated with that union may be no more.

The BSTU should explain why its headquarters’ building is in this state of disrepair and state what has happened to its credit union.
