Employees of ANSA McAL Head Office in Barbados together with three of the ANSA McAL companies – Trident Insurance, ANSA Merchant Bank, and Standard Distributors – bought and wrapped 30 beautiful gifts for children diagnosed with cancer, their siblings or children who have lost a parent to cancer.

The employees came together and donated funds to purchase gifts, as recommended by the Barbados Cancer Society, to match the age and gender of the children, from three to 15 years. This year, more than 40 families have been affected by the distress of cancer.

Sonia O’Neal, Administrative Director of the Barbados Cancer Society, expressed delight at the employees’ donation and praised their thoughtfulness and concern for others.

“It was indeed a privilege to work with the team at ANSA McAL in the spirit of the miracle of Christmas to share in the love and joy which pervades the season,” she added.

Rachel Pilgrim, Group Marketing Head for the ANSA McAL Group in Barbados, said: “Every year we do something special as a team, and everyone works together as a family to make this happen. The ‘feel-good factor’ of giving to these children is truly amazing and made it so worthwhile. A huge thank you to everyone who worked hard to bring this project to fruition.” (PR)
