EVR centres accepting digital proof of address from PSV owners

Owners of minibuses, ZRs, ZMs, taxis, tour coaches, and hired vehicles can now submit their proof of address digitally to Electronic Vehicle Registration (EVR) centres.

The proof of address, which is usually a utility bill, may only be submitted in PDF format to the EVR centre where registration occurs.

Persons registering at the EVR centre in the National Cultural Foundation’s car park, West Terrace, St. James, may email evrncf@publicworks.gov.bb. Those registering at the centre in Oistins car park, Christ Church, should email evroistins@publicworks.gov.bb

EVR centres are open Sunday to Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Operators are required to take their vehicles to a centre, along with proof of insurance and address, and valid picture identification. On completion of the EVR process, a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag will be placed on the windshield as proof the vehicle is compliant with the law; a receipt of registration will also be given to owners.

Public Service Vehicles are currently being registered under this phase of the EVR programme; they will be given priority until the end of March. (PR/MTWW)
