Four more schools closed due to smoke from fire

The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training (METVT) advises that as a result of smoke emanating from a large fire in the environs of St. Philip, four schools in St. George are now closed.

They are St. George Secondary, St. George Primary, Ellerton Primary, and Workman’s Primary.

Classes at these institutions are expected to resume on Monday, March 20, following assessments by environmental health officials.

The METVT regrets any inconvenience that the closures may cause.
