Closures of the Criminal Division, Magistrates’ Courts and Registrar’s Court on April 5

The public is advised that there will be no sitting of the Criminal Division of the Supreme Court of Barbados, which comprises Criminal Courts 2, 3, 3A, 4, 4A, 5, and 5A, on Wednesday, April 5.

In addition, there will be no hearings conducted at all Magistrates’ Courts island-wide and at the Registrar’s Court of the Supreme Court of Barbados on that day. However, the offices of the respective Magistrates’ Courts and the other departments of the Registration Department will remain open.

The closures are to facilitate the attendance of the Judiciary, Magistracy and the Registrar at a Symposium on the Criminal Justice System in Barbados, which will take place at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.

The Registration Department regrets and apologises for any inconvenience caused. (BGIS)
