Shop Hill temporarily closed due to broken culvert and burst water main

The Ministry of Transport Works and Water Resources (MTWW) in conjunction with the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) advises motorists that Shop Hill in St. Thomas will be temporarily closed from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. today, Friday, April 21. This is to facilitate urgent repairs to a burst main.

The road is reduced to one lane due to a broken culvert, however, at present, the road is impassable because of the burst main.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and plan their routes accordingly.

The Ministry of Transport, Works and Water Resources (MTWW) and the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) apologises for the inconvenience and thank the public for its co-operation. (KS/PR/MTWW)
