March to highlight concerns about Child Protection Bill

A group of citizens concerned about the content and structure of the Child Protection Bill are gearing up to send a strong message to the Government.

The Watch Out My Children group is inviting Barbadians to come out on Saturday, June 10, for a march and rally to highlight parents’ and various stakeholders’ concerns. The march will begin at Kensington Car Park at 10 a.m. and will head to Independence Square where a rally will be held with various speakers addressing issues related to parental and child rights.

At a press conference on Tuesday morning, the group called on policymakers to recognise and uphold parental and child rights in Barbados and the Caribbean. (AH)
