Cassius Clay passes away

Winston Carlyle Yearwood, known to most Barbadians as Cassius Clay, has died.

The popular entertainer who made defying stunts, balancing his bicycle on his chin, flying headlong through a square with half a dozen sharp knives, fire-eating, walking on sharp nails, sword balancing, bottle dancing and tightrope walking, passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital this morning.

He was also a noted singer with his band, The Generation Bridge. He released his first record in the 1970s, with the hit tune, Sweeter Than A Sno-Cone
