Barbados has established a National School Council comprising several students from various secondary schools.

On Friday, representatives from UNICEF toured The Lodge School, where the idea to set up a council was birthed and promised to provide a platform for the group to advocate on behalf of school children in Barbados on an international stage.

The representatives had a pow-wow with the council body and listen in on some of the issues affecting young people today. (SZB)
