For the next three days, principals from 37 schools will receive relevant training from officials from the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA). The Safe School Recognition Programme Workshop was opened on Monday at the Dorothy King Complex, Erdiston Teachers’ Training College. Deputy Chief Education Officer and Safe School Focal Point in Barbados, Joy Adamson, said participants will be trained to be assessors and will be required to go to school properties to ensure that the requirements of the National Safe School Policy are being met.
