Police investigate road fatality in St. George

One man is dead following a head-on collision between a flatbed truck and motor vehicle, which occurred about 9:15 a.m. along Cottage Road, St. George.

The drivers were the only occupants of the vehicles, which were traveling in opposite directions.

The driver of the motor car was pronounced dead at the scene. His body had to be extricated by personnel from the Barbados Fire Service.

The driver of the truck complained of injuries to both legs and his left wrist, and was transported to the hospital by ambulance for medical attention.

Investigations are ongoing.
