Another bronze for Sada

Barbados’ Sada Williams secured yet another bronze medal at the World Athletics Championships, this time in Budapest, Hungary.

Williams clocked 49.60s in the women’s 400m finals, finishing behind Poland’s Natalia Kaczmarek (49.58s) and gold medallist Marileidy Paulino of the Dominican Republic.Paulino clinched victory with 48.76 seconds, setting a new National Record for her country.

Williams’ achievement marks Barbados’ third medal at the World Championships, with the quarter-mile queen contributing two bronze medals, and a gold medal attained by sprint hurdler Ryan Brathwaite during the 2009 Championships. (RT)
