UK to introduce an ETA form in October

Persons travelling to the United Kingdom (UK) will soon have to complete an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) form being introduced by the UK Government beginning October 2023.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade is advising the Barbadian public that citizens of Barbados do not need an ETA for travel to the UK at this time.  However, the ETA requirements for Barbados and most of the world will take effect in 2024, on dates yet to be announced.

Further information on the UK’s ETA form should be sought from the official website of the British Government at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/electronic-travel-authorisation-eta.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade will provide further updates as these become available.
