Prison break shortlived

A 21-year-old murder accused was recaptured on Thursday night, several hours after escaping from Dodds prison.

Tyreke Delandre Benskin was held by police on patrol on Yorkshire Road, Christ Church, after escaping around 3:45 p.m.

The details of his escape are unclear.

Benskin has been on remand for the past three and a half years, accused of the murder of 22-year-old Shakeem Holder on February 2, 2020.

He was 17 years old when he was charged with the stabbing death.
