Government rewards Sada

Double World Championship 400m bronze medalist Sada Williams was today recognised by the Government of Barbados for her outstanding performances this season.

As a token of appreciation, the reigning Commonwealth 400m champion received $150 000 at a special ceremony where a billboard at the Grantley Adams International Airport was also unveiled.

Williams, who became the country’s first athlete to book a ticket to Paris 2024 Olympics, finished the season as the World’s third-ranked 400m female athlete behind number one Marileidy Paulinho and Natalia Kackmareck. (RT)
